After watching Worlds 2024 where all 4 top cut players were playing sakazuki in the OP-05 format, I'm sure we all know about the RHL combo (rebecca, hina, lucci).
For only 8 dons, you get to play 3 bodies on your board which includes a blocker as well as removing 2 bodies on your opponents board!
It is essential for a good sakazuki player to know when to drop the RHL combo and know how to follow up in the mirror if the opponent drops the RHL combo on you.
If you've played sakazuki since day 1 like me, be glad that the deck list hasn't changed much going into the newest set. The core of the deck remains the same and you will see that 90% of all sakazuki players will run the same cards and ratios (this just goes to show how strong the core of the deck is).
One of two biggest changes for this deck is the addition of the new 1C blue tashigi that searches the top 5 and adds a {navy} type card. This is an automatic 4 of in the deck and helps so much in the mirror when going first. If you know anything about the mirror back in OP-05 it's that going first is significantly worse due to you having no play on your first 1 don turn. Having no board while your opponent drops a brannew feels pretty bad.
The next biggest addition for sakazuki and in fact any black leaders is the 8C gecko moria character card. This card is an absolute monster and has dominated the Asian meta for the entirety of OP-06. For 8 dons you can revive 2 cards from trash allowing you re-use resources which other decks just doesn't have access to.
I've had quite a bit of success with this deck on the SIM and I can't wait to practice it in person at hobbies. I strongly encourage people to try this list before the ban list because this deck is so fun.
